- Switch Extension                                           part# RE2P-A1-1FM
- 3m Double Sided Tape                                    part# 6383
- 3m Dual Wall Heat Shrink 7/8”
- 3m Automotive Adhesion Promoter                    part# 6396
- Standard Heat Gun
- Plastic Dip
- Denatured Alcohol

Prior to actual installation, plan and design installation locations including placement of the PDM and the switch.

1. To install the PDM:
Locate and disconnect the battery terminal nuts, then connect the fuse block (black wire with fuse insert) to the positive post on the 12v battery, then connect the ground wire (white wire) to the negative post on the 12v battery. PDM is installed.

2. To install the switch:
Locate a predrilled ¼” hole that the switch will mount to, or drill your own in a location that best suits a switch location. After the switch is mounted, then plug the “switch extension” onto the switch and route to the PDM. (Both 18 ga red wires must be crimped with female pins and inserted into two open slots directly next to the fuse block and ground wire.)

3. To install sealed LED arrays: Crimp both positive and negative wires with female pins then place 3m dual wall
7/8” heat shrink over the exposed wires before inserting into the male connector. Slide and heat shrink over the male connector, then heat with heat gun. Next, determine location to affix and conceal the light, clean surface area with “denatured alcohol” on a clean cotton cloth, then if needed heat the array with a standard heat gun for better flexibility, peel the tape backing and apply “3m automotive promoter” to the exposed tape then stick and hold for approx. 5 to 10 seconds for best results. After you’ve successfully mounted a light then plug an extension cord onto the light based on length from the light to the PDM.

4. To install LED tri-stars & clusters with & without connectors:
A. For lights without connectors crimp both positive and negative wires with female pins, then place 3m dual wall 7/8” heat shrink over the exposed wires before inserting into the male connector. Slide heat shrink over the male connector then heat with the heat gun. Next step add 3m double sided tape to back of light, clean the surface area, with denatured alcohol, then peel backing off light, add 3m auto promoter to the light , stick light and hold for approx. 5 to 10 sec. for best results.
B. For lights with connectors simply add 3m double sided tape, clean the surface area with denatured alcohol, add 3m auto promoter, then stick and hold for approx. 5 to 10 sec. for best results.

5. To terminate all LED lights into the Power Distribution Module:
Once all LED lights are mounted and have extension cords reaching from the light to the PDM, begin crimping all the positive and negative wires with female pins, then simply start plugging the crimped wires into the PDM. (Note: All positive wires have to be plugged in on the top row, same as the ground wire, and all negative wires have to be plugged into the bottom row, same as the fuse block.)

6. Splitters:
Splitters can be used when installing a full custom light job. Splitters allow the junction of two lights together into one extension cord leading to the PDM.

To assemble packaged LED Arrays

Cut plastic tube to fit 12” circuit board ( if you would like to make lights less than 12”, cut circuit board in already marked locations, then solder positive and negative wires onto solder pads on back of circuit board). Glue end caps into ends of plastic tube. Plastic dip the ends of the arrays sealing the end caps and wires. Allow time for plastic dip to dry. Crimp both positive and negative wires with female pins, making sure that pins line up evenly. Slide 3M dual wall heat shrink over the wires and pins. Plug into male connector, pushing both pins at the same time until they lock into male connector. Slide heat shrink over the bottom of connector covering any exposed wires. Heat with heat gun. You are now ready for installation. Apply 3M double sided tape. For flexibility heat array with standard heat gun. Peel tape backing and apply 3M automotive adhesive promoter and stick immediately for best results. Hold for 10 seconds. Add extension cord based on length from light to PDM and then terminate (see instruction 5 above).
